Nicole Baker, LCSW
Nicole Baker is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. Nicole has previous experience working in substance use residential programs, long-term care facilities, mental health crisis services, and outpatient mental health. Nicole’s therapeutic style is focused on person-centered treatment and the importance of building rapport. Nicole is also trained in using the therapeutic method of EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is a form of psychotherapy in which the person being treated is asked to recall distressing images; the therapist then directs the patient in one type of bilateral stimulation, such as side-to-side eye rapid movement or hand tapping.

Nicole has a history of working with individuals struggling with their relationship with drugs and alcohol as well as those with mood disorders and/or psychosis. She also has experience working with pregnant women and mothers of young children and enjoys supporting people through life transitions involving parenthood and marriage. Nicole is knowledgeable supporting individuals through difficulties with anxiety and depression as well as the elderly and age-related cognitive disorders.
