Jason Sherman, LMSW, LADC

Jason has been working with people struggling with substance use and mental health disorders for over 20 years, and owned and operated two sober living homes in the area for 8 years. He worked hard, along with a community of others, to help many people find freedom from mental health and addiction symptoms. They also volunteered their time at the local community center and helped with Midnight Runs: a program that delivers food, clothing, and necessities to the homeless population in New York City.
In recent years, Jason has been working with adolescent and adult populations in intensive inpatient, IOP, PHP, and outpatient facilities. He’s worked with clients suffering from substance use and mental health disorders in both private and correctional environments. Jason is a Southern CT State University graduate with an LMSW (Licensed Master of Social Work), and an LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor), and has held CT State and international addictions certifications since 2014.
Jason is philosophically Jungian, preferring therapy with a holistic trauma informed, strength based approach. He believes deeply in the tools of Cognitive Behavioral Theory and sees therapy as a chance to help clients escape feelings of hopelessness and isolation and build a wonderful life through goal setting and improving relationships.

He who looks inside awakens”
