April Colwell, LCSW
April is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who received both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and Master’s degree in social work at Quinnipiac University. She has worked in the mental health field for 8 years. She has worked with adults and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings. April’s expertise is with adolescents and young adults.
April specializes in post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, mood disorders, family dynamics, and everyday life stress. April uses EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed CBT, and emotionally focused approaches in her work with clients.
