Brie Lowenstein, LCSW
Brie Lowenstein is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Studies from Mount Holyoke College and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. Brie has previous experience working in hospital settings with Geriatric and Palliative Care patients where she worked closely supporting individuals and their families. Brie also specializes in Group Therapy and looks forward to starting a Motivational Young Adult Group.
Most recently she worked at a community health care clinic where she provided therapeutic services for individuals ranging from twelve to eighty three. She utilized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed CBT, and Solution-Focused Therapy to allow individuals to gain new perspectives, identify what is working and not working in their lives and work together to create change.
Brie’s approach is to be therapeutically responsive to each person’s unique experiences in life. Communication is as vital for a therapist as it is for everyone’s day to day. Often overlooked, affective communication can decrease stress, increase self-esteem and help create and maintain healthy relationships. Brie believes that by tapping into one’s natural resilience, the process toward improved living can begin.
