Janet is a marriage and family therapist and licensed alcohol and drug counselor. Her experience includes outpatient treatment programs for individuals with substance abuse and mental health disorders, adolescent residential programs and group homes, individual/family counseling, and group work in substance abuse, domestic violence and parenting. Janet also has experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Janet believes that building rapport is key to the therapeutic relationship. Her approach is person-centered and she works with individuals in finding their voice, helping them to empower their strength and skills for long term recovery, and identifying barriers to change.

Janet enjoys traveling and meeting people from all over the world, experiencing their cultures, reading, movies, musical theater, and rescuing animals. Her motto, “I am the change I want to see.”
