Amanda Contento, LMFT, is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut. Amanda received her Master’s degree in 2017 from Fairfield University and has focused her career on helping individuals recover from addiction and mental health.
Amanda specializes in women’s issues, spending several years working in a long-term inpatient program working closely with women and their children as they regain sobriety and rebuild their family unit. Amanda uses multiple interventions such as Seeking Safety, Bowen Family Therapy Techniques and Structural Family Therapy Interventions.
Amanda can help you work from a strength base therapeutic approach to seeking change within your relationships and yourself. She can assist you in learning skills and techniques that will help you in your parenting, mending relationships. And setting healthy boundaries. Amanda has experience working with couples struggling with, parenting, trust, and identifying family roles.
Amanda can help you with identifying positive and negative emotions that develop from stress, a negative experience or early recovery struggles. Amanda strives to meet her clients where they are at and create an individualized treatment plan for an individual, family or couple.
In her spare time, Amanda is an avid equestrian for more than twenty-five-years and enjoys spending quality time with her three small dogs. Amanda embraces her role as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and enjoys making a positive impact on others’ lives.
